The West Australian Football League’s ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ Round supporting breast cancer research will be held across all four Round 19 League games this Saturday, July 29.
The round will be played in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ campaign and expands on last year’s initiative by Claremont Football Club to support the cause by playing in a jumper with a pink sash instead of the club’s traditional yellow.
This year, all home teams across the four League games in Round 19 will also wear pink socks.
'Get Pinked' marquees at each ground will offer face painting, hair spray, temporary tattoos and merchandise so fans can show their support and help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
Through the Real Men Wear Pink campaign, NBCF hopes to raise more than $1.5 million through community support, to fund breast cancer research.
