EAST Fremantle beat East Perth in a REDiMED Colts thriller on Saturday to claim top spot from Peel Thunder while Claremont geared up for its clash with the Reserves leading South Fremantle this week with a good win over Peel in Round 15.
The Round 15 reserves results in the horrible conditions saw Subiaco beat West Perth 6.14 (50) to 6.6 (42) at HBF Arena, East Fremantle defeat East Perth 11.7 (73) to 4.11 (35) at Leederville Oval, Claremont down Peel Thunder 8.17 (65) to 4.7 (31) at Bendigo Bank Stadium and Swan Districts prevail 8.6 (54) to 3.11 (29) over Perth at Lathlain Park.
Those reserves results leave South Fremantle (10-3) still clear on top of the ladder despite having the Round 15 bye ahead of Claremont (9-4) and Perth (8-6).
Subiaco (7-6) and East Fremantle (6-7) round out the top five with Swan Districts (6-7) just outside in front of West Perth (5-8), East Perth (4-9) and Peel Thunder (4-9).
Then in the colts for Round 15 on Saturday morning across the same venues, Subiaco beat West Perth 9.6 (60) to 4.8 (32), East Fremantle defeated East Perth 6.10 (46) to 7.3 (45), Claremont downed Peel Thunder 5.8 (38) to 3.9 (27) and Swan Districts won 15.8 (98) to 4.4 (28) over Perth.
That means that East Fremantle (9-4) returns to the top of the colts ladder ahead of Peel Thunder (8-1-4) and Claremont (8-5).
Swan Districts (7-1-5) and Subiaco (7-6) are also in the top five ahead of West Perth (6-7), East Perth (5-8), South Fremantle (5-8) and Perth (3-11).
STANDOUT RESERVES PERFORMERS
The reserves clash at HBF Arena on Saturday saw Subiaco kick the only two goals of the last quarter in the atrocious conditions to beat West Perth by eight points.
Ethan Burnett, Daniel Leach, Shannon Nelson, Ryan Borchet, Rowen Powell and Ryan Vermeersch were Subiaco's goal scorers.
Matt Bogensperger racked up 28 possessions for the Lions, Leach 24, Powell 23, James Garcia 19 (10 tackles), Ryan Wade 17, McKenzie Lawrence 16 and Daniel Perkins 16.
Tim Sutherland finished with 13 disposals and 42 hit outs in the ruck while premiership defenders Hayden Kennedy and Declan Jackson returned from injury.
Brayden Antonio kicked two of the six goals for the game for West Perth.
Mitch Peirce gathered 24 possessions for the Falcons, Riley Hutchinson 20, Nathan Alexandre 18 and Dylan Campbell 14 to go with 12 tackles. Michael Ashfield had 21 hit outs as well.
East Fremantle claimed a strong 38-point win over East Perth at Leederville Oval.
Zac McCarrey and Tyler Sorrell kicked two goals apiece for East Fremantle.
Ben Harding responded to his demotion with 32 possessions, six tackles and a goal.
Joel Kalajzic compiled 27 possessions for East Fremantle, Sean Henson 24, Jesse Adamini 24, Tom Omodei 20, Miles Franklin 20 and Peter Delaney.
Ciaran Allsop kicked two of East Perth's four goals while Scott Jones dominated his ruck battle with Cameron Symonds finishing with 22 possessions, six marks, 41 hit outs and 10 entries inside the forward 50.
Mitch Dobson collected 31 disposals for the Royals, Jordan Browne 20, Taylor North 18, Alex Di Placido 18 and Josh Hewett 17.
Claremont claimed a 34-point victory over Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
Brett Wilson kicked two goals for Claremont to go with 18 possessions.
Lachlan Martinis gathered 28 possessions for the Tigers, Jacob Sideris 26 (15 tackles), Bailey Bennett 23, Cameron Quenby 22, Jack Blaauw 20, Tom Lawrence 19, Aaron Holt 18 and Oliver Eastland 18 to go with five marks and 43 hit outs.
Brett Milward had a strong afternoon for Peel with 26 possessions, six tackles and two goals while Jacob Perry gathered 19 disposals and Jakob Janzekovic 17.
Swan Districts' reserves also claimed a solid 25-point win over Perth at Lathlain Park.
Steven Wityk, Chad Daniels and Giles Dent all kicked two goals each for Swans.
Ruckman Troy Yukich had a monstrous 83 hit outs and just one kick while Ethan Maguire collected 22 possessions, Josh Cipro 20, Levi Ridley 16 and David McKay 15.
Marshall Jones, Shaun Smith and Nicholas Taylor kicked Perth's three goals for the game.
Kurtis Chester compiled 23 possessions for the Demons, Chris Leonard 21, Jayden Johnstone 19 and Taran Etto 18 to go with 11 tackles.
REDiMED COLTS SHINING LIGHTS
It was an early start for the colts for the International Football Festival at HBF Arena on Saturday with Subiaco claiming a 28-point victory against West Perth.
Christian Martin kicked three goals for Subiaco and Che Wyatt two.
Liam Hickmott amassed 23 possessions, Nicholas Baroni 21, Max Dennis 19, Will Hickmott 18, Duane Smith 16, Luke Foley 15, Tristan Hobley 15, David Purser 15 and Liam Connolly 15.
Lane Sedgwick kicked two goals for West Perth with Lachlan Johns and Alec Johnson booting one apiece.
Baylee James gathered 25 possessions for the Falcons, Johns 21, Dylan Yem 20, Thomas Boyes 19, Tyrese Miller 17 and Thomas Medhat 17.
The colts thriller of the day was at Leederville Oval with East Fremantle beating East Perth by a point to return to the top of the ladder.
Milan Murdock kicked to goals for East Fremantle to go with 23 possessions while Dillion O'Reilly also kicked two majors to go with 10 disposals and 13 hit outs.
Dylan Williams racked up 23 possessions for the Sharks, Kyle D'Antoine 18, Liam Rajanayagam 17, Zachary Jackson 16, Nelson Aranda 15 and Thomas Eastaugh 15.
Mitchell Gupanis put in a huge performance for East Perth made up of 25 disposals, nine tackles and three goals.

Claremont's colts knocked off the then league-leading Peel Thunder by 11 points in the tough conditions at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
Jaymi Spinner-Mainstone and Ben Durbridge kicked two goals each for Claremont.
Edward Aitken finished with 19 possessions for the Tigers, Declan McNamara 17, Lack Lewsey 17 (15 tackles) and Addison Dew 17.
Lachlan Cullen kicked two of Peel's three goals for the game with Lee Chapman the other goal scorer.

The big win of the day in the colts action saw Swan Districts beat Perth by 70 points at Lathlain Park.
Trohne Ugle booted four goals for Swan Districts from 14 disposals, five marks and four tackles. Gregory Humphries also booted two goals and Tyson Cecil two.
Blake Pescud racked up 36 possessions for the black-and-whites, Graydon Wilson 26, Lochie Huntley 22, Jack O'Sullivan 21 and Denzel More 18 to go with 14 hit outs.
