DESPITE a loss at home to East Perth on Saturday, South Fremantle's reserves maintain a hold on top spot following Round 10 while East Fremantle downed Subiaco to remain on top of the REDiMED Colts.
The Round 10 reserves contests saw Perth defeat Peel Thunder 17.13 (115) to 6.8 (44), East Perth down South Fremantle 12.5 (77) to 8.9 (57), East Fremantle beat Subiaco 14.5 (89) to 10.10 (70) and Claremont prevail over West Perth 11.14 (80) to 4.7 (31).
Following 10 rounds of the 2017 season in the reserves, South Fremantle (7-2) remains on top of the ladder ahead of Claremont (6-3) and Perth (6-3). East Fremantle (5-3) and Swan Districts (3-5) round out the top five.
East Perth (3-6) sits just outside the top five ahead of Subiaco (3-6), West Perth (3-5) and Peel Thunder (3-6).
The Round 10 REDiMED Colts action saw Peel Thunder beat Perth 8.15 (63) to 5.5 (35), South Fremantle defeat East Perth 12.12 (84) to 8.11 (59), East Fremantle beat Subiaco 8.10 (58) to 6.4 (40) and Claremont win over West Perth 10.9 (69) to 3.7 (25).
After 10 rounds in the REDiMED Colts for 2017, East Fremantle sits atop the ladder with a 7-1 record ahead of Peel Thunder (6-1-2), Claremont (6-3), Swan Districts (5-1-2) and Subiaco (5-4).
West Perth (3-5) is in sixth position ahead of East Perth (2-7), South Fremantle (2-7) and Perth (2-7).
STANDOUT RESERVES PERFORMERS
East Fremantle came away from Leederville Oval with a 19-point win in the reserves over Subiaco on Saturday.
Tyler Sorrell, Carl Green and Nathan Fahey all kicked three goals each for East Fremantle with Jesse Mirco chipping in with two.
Ben Harding compiled 28 possessions for the Sharks, Corey Holmes 24 (15 tackles), Matthew Burton 23, Joel Kalajzic 22 and Alexander Montauban 16 to go with 10 tackles.
South Fremantle's reserves went down to East Perth as well at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with the Royals winning by 20 points.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs remain a game clear on top of the ladder.
Willie Rioli made his return from injury and was impressive for East Perth with the small forward kicking four goals from 16 possessions and six marks. Tarir Bayok also kicked two goals.
Steven Payne racked up 30 possessions for the Royals, Jordan Snadden 26, Mitch Dobson 21, Bayok 19 and Callum Hart 17.
Mitch Dzelebdzic kicked two goals for South Fremantle to go with 19 possessions.
Brendan Verrier amassed 30 disposals for the Bulldogs, Jake Florenca 30 and Steve Verrier 21.
Claremont took away a 49-point victory over West Perth at HBF Arena.
Tom Lawrence kicked three goals for Claremont, Chris Oakley two and Sam Bevan two.
Tom Ledger picked up 31 possessions for the Tigers, Nick Winmar 23, Lachlan Martinis 21 and Morgan Davies 17. Jeremy Goddard had 41 hit outs in the ruck.
Michael Ashfield kicked two of the Falcons' four goals for the game.
Mitch Peirce racked up 33 possessions for West Perth, James Batterham 22, Conal Lynch 22, Alexander Coe 21 and Brayden Antonio 18.
Perth's reserves put in a dominant performance at Lathlain Park defeating Peel Thunder by 69 points.
Matt Thompson and Guy Piggott kicked two goals each for the Demons while Clint Chivers, Cody Kickett and Callum Papertalk all booted two.
Taran Etto racked up 31 possessions for Perth, Andries Mercer 20, Chris Leonard 18, Chivers 18, Jarrad Irons 17, Blake Johnson 17 and ruckman Tim Sutherland 15 to go with 30 hit outs and a goal.
Lucas Humphreys and Nick Merritt kicked two goals each for Peel with the latter also finishing with 17 possessions and six marks.
Michael Humble gathered 28 possessions for the Thunder, Brayden Lawler 23, Chris Wrigley 21, Calvin Thorne 20, Jackson Capurso 19 and Noah Hura 18.
Ruckman Luke Strnadica was a dominant presence ending the game with 22 touches and 58 hit outs.
REDiMED COLTS SHINING LIGHTS
The day began with the colts clash at Leederville Oval with East Fremantle beating Subiaco by 18 points.
Dillon O'Reilly, Drew Blurton and Josh Ritchie all kicked two goals apiece for the Sharks.
Zachary Jackson gathered 22 possessions for East Fremantle, Jayden Quill 21, Gabriel Parfitt 20, Kennedy Sorrell 19, Samuel Lewis 18 and Kyle D'Antoine 18 to go with eight tackles.
Mitchell Hughes and Che Wyatt booted two goals each for Subiaco.
Will Hickmott amassed 27 disposals for the Lions while Koby Fullgrabe also had it 24 times, Max Dennis 24, Tristan Hobley 21 and Liam Hickmott 21 to go with laying 12 tackles.
South Fremantle's colts began the day at Fremantle Community Bank Oval defeating East Perth by 25 points.
Brodee Knight was outstanding for the Bulldogs with 30 possessions and three goals with Bruno Faulkner also finishing with 27 disposals, seven tackles and two goals.
Regan Spooner also gathered 23 disposals for South Fremantle, Michael Redman 21 and Tere Teio-Yarran 20. Thomas Weston booted three goals.
Casey Clinch-Phillips, Jethro Namnik and Reuben Pasalich all kicked two goals each for East Perth.
Nathan Arbon finished with 23 possessions for the Royals to go with six inside-50 entries and five marks.
It was a tough start to the day at HBF Arena for West Perth in the colts, with Claremont winning by 44 points.
Lewis Davis kicked three goals for Claremont with James Egan, Jack Blaauw and Damon Enosa all booted two apiece.
Egan also amassed 26 possessions for the Tigers, Blaauw 22, Declan McNamara 22, Lewis Daisley 21, Wil Powell 19 and Nicholas Incerti 18.
Lachlan Johns, Tyrese Miller and Jack Burke were the goal scorers for West Perth.
Bailey Chalmers compiled 22 possessions for West Perth, Baylee James 20 and Thomas Boyes 17.
Peel's colts came away from Lathlain Park with a solid 28-point victory over Perth on Saturday.
Michael Stevens had a big performance for the Thunder finishing with 18 possessions, five marks and four goals.
Tyson Powell also picked up 21 disposals and kicked two goals while Jackson Perry amassed 29 touches, Kyle Havelberg 28, Jake Howes 25, James Sturrock 25, Lachlan Riley 19, Brad Oldfield 18.
Dominic Roe kicked two of Perth's goals for the game.
Luke English picked up 25 possessions, Maverick Hamilton 23, Damien Bennell 21, Zac Casey 18 and Caelen Bennell 18.
