THE game of the WAFL season to date is shaping up to take place at Leederville Oval on Saturday with top spot on the line as Subiaco hosts South Fremantle with three other big Round 9 matches taking place as well.
All four Round 9 WAFL matches will again take place on Saturday afternoon.
The action begins at 1.40pm at Bendigo Bank Stadium in Mandurah with reigning premiers Peel Thunder hosting Swan Districts. The game will be live on 7mate.
The other three games all begin at 2.15pm.
Top spot is up for grabs when Subiaco hosts South Fremantle at Leederville Oval. The Lions and Bulldogs both enter the game on 6-1 records with South Fremantle only on top at the moment courtesy of percentage.
With Subiaco having won six straight and South Fremantle on a five-game winning run, and top spot on the line, it has all the makings of the game of the WAFL season to date.
East Fremantle is still looking for its first win of 2017 when it hosts an East Perth team at East Fremantle Oval who won its previous two games prior to last week's bye.
Claremont then looks to snap a four-game losing slide on neutral turf playing Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
The fourth-placed West Perth has the bye having won four games in succession.
