ROUND 8 of the WAFL sees all four matches take place on Saturday afternoon with Swan Districts and Subiaco meeting in a highly-anticipated match up while Claremont and Peel look to end losing runs and East Fremantle tries to open its account on a milestone day for a fine servant.
The four matches all take place in the traditional 2.15pm time slot on Saturday afternoon and plenty is at stake in each of them.
Swan Districts plays Subiaco at Steel Blue Oval with both teams entering the clash with impressive 5-1 records. If South Fremantle loses, the winner will move to the top of the ladder but either way they will be clear in second position as two impressive teams so far in 2017 try to make a statement.
Claremont and Peel Thunder both started the season strongly with three and two-game winning runs respectively. However, the Tigers have now lost their last three and the Thunder the previous four setting up a fascinating contest at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with Claremont Oval unavailable.
The winless East Fremantle host West Perth at East Fremantle Oval with the Sharks looking for their first four points of 2017 while the Falcons enter on a three-game winning streak. East Fremantle will also be celebrating the 150th game of Andrew Stephen.
Perth returns to Lathlain Park with the Demons looking for their second win of the season and to topple South Fremantle from top spot. The Bulldogs have won their last four games to be on top of the ladder despite having the bye last week.
East Perth has the Round 8 bye after winning its opening two games of 2017.
