The West Australian Football Commission is pleased to announce that Racing and Wagering WA’s support for local football has extended to the 7 Network’s WAFL broadcast.
WAFC Chief Executive Gavin Taylor said it was terrific that a long-time supporter of football in Western Australia had committed further support to WA’s premier State League competition.
“The WAFL broadcast on the 7 Network continues to go from strength to strength with a 65% increase in audience over the past two years seeing the competition ranked first for viewer growth out of all televised WA winter sports teams or competitions,” Mr Taylor said.
“The WAFL showcases local teams and local talent and the WAFC is delighted to have such a high quality local sponsor in Racing and Wagering WA join the WAFL broadcast alongside McDonalds, AHG, Kennards and REIWA.”
Racing and Wagering WA General Manager Wagering, Michael Saunders, said Racing and Wagering WA, through its TABtouch and CommunityTAB brands, was proud to be associated with WA Football and excited to see grassroots football being showcased in WA.
“Sport plays a vital role in the community and the broadcast partnership will allow both Racing and Wagering WA and the WAFL to celebrate its contribution,” he said.
“The WAFL is a providing a proven pathway to the AFL and it is exciting for sports fans who want to see our future local stars on show.”
