CLAREMONT has ended its five-game losing run with an 80-point win over Swan Districts at the Claremont Showground on Sunday giving the Tigers some positive vibes heading into a two-week break.

Claremont now doesn’t play again until hosting West Perth in Round 13 with a bye to come next week and then the break for the state game against Tasmania.

That put extra importance on the Tigers not dropping a sixth straight game on Sunday and they had the added incentive of having lost a game they perhaps never should have against Swan Districts back in Round 4 at Steel Blue Oval.

Despite Swans starting well with two of the first three goals, the Tigers dominated the rest of the contest to run out 20.10 (130) to 7.8 (50) victors.

The result improves Claremont to a 3-7 record to remain a chance of playing finals in 2016 while Swan Districts slip to 1-9 heading into a WA Day clash with Perth at Steel Blue Oval.

Jye Bolton delivered a stunning performance for Claremont to all but secure his place in the state team against Tasmania. He was clear best on field for his 37 possessions, 14 marks and four goals.

Ryan Neates was also terrific for the Tigers running hard all afternoon to end up with 32 disposals and two goals.

Jack Bradshaw was a livewire up forward booting five goals from 14 touches and six marks as the small forward continues his form revival with 13 goals in the last four games.

Jack Richardson also kicked three goals for Claremont with Darcy Cameron booting two from 15 touches and eight marks. Beau Maister worked hard in the forward-line as well for the Tigers ending up with 20 disposals and 11 marks, but kicked just 1.3.

Ryan Lim was another Claremont player who found plenty of the ball finishing with 25 possessions and seven marks with Tom Ledger gathering 21 disposals, Matthew Davies 20, Keifer Yu 19 and debutant Justin Speed 19 to go with nine tackles and five inside-50 entries.

Francis Watson played his first game of 2016 in the league team and was impressive with 20 possessions with Anton Hamp leading a strong defensive effort by the Tigers by holding Tony Notte to nine touches, one mark and one goal.

Mitch Andrews delivered another good performance in the ruck for Claremont with 15 touches, five marks and 36 hit outs.

Adam Faulkner was again Swan Districts' best contributor over the four quarters in the midfield ending up with 24 possessions and two goals.

Alex Howard worked hard in the back-line in his battle with Beau Maister, and the Swans defender had 20 possessions and seven marks.

Ricky Cary started forward and kicked an early goal but after quarter-time he moved back and did well on Darcy Cameron finishing with 18 disposals and eight marks himself.

Ben Whitsed played what was likely the best league game of his career, reproducing some of the form he has consistently displayed in the reserves by collecting 19 possessions.

Albert Dean also picked up 20 disposals for the black-and-whites, Freddie Clutterbuck 20, Matt Riggio 19 and Jesse Turner 18.

Swans made a good start with two of the first three goals from Notte and Faulkner.

But Claremont soon got on top and the forward-line was looking dangerous with Cameron taking a strong mark for a goal, Bradshaw bobbing up for two goals, Jack Richardson booting another, and by the time Neates kicked truly just before the siren the Tigers were in control with a 25-point advantage.

Claremont then completely dominated the second quarter but couldn't take full advantage missing a handful of kickable shots directly in front of goal.

But the Tigers did hold Swans scoreless for the term and kicked majors through Zac Langdon, Bradshaw and Yu to have the game sewn up by half-time with a 47-point lead.

It took only a minute into the second half for Cameron to make strongly and kick his second goal. Rudy Riddoch managed to respond for Swans before Jack Richardson kicked his third for the Tigers.

Swans continued to work hard and got a goal back through Faulkner after the Tigers missed a host of gettable shots. But goals before three quarter-time to Bolton and Bradshaw saw Claremont into three quarter-time 54 points to the good.

Swan Districts did manage final quarter goals to Tom Smirk and Lindsay Murray, but Claremont didn’t let up with Bolton booting his third and fourth majors, Neates his second, Bradshaw his fifth, and Maister and Harrison McCracken their first of the afternoon in the 80-point win.

The RediMed Colts clash began the day's action at the Showground with Claremont beating Swan Districts 11.16 (82) to 4.8 (32).

Bailey Bennett was terrific for Claremont kicking three goals from 23 possessions with Keanu Shandley and Bailey Banfield also booting two majors.

Josh Bennett racked up 32 possessions, Jacob Sideris 26, Banfield 26, Josh Houwen 26 and Jake Stergiou 21. Oliver Eastland finished with 14 disposals, 23 hit outs and a goal in the ruck.

Taryce Stewart, Jarrod Shorter, Giles Dent and Brayden Spackman were the goal kickers for Swans with Shorter gathering 19 disposals, Gregory Ottaviano 17, Liam McPherson 15 and Mitchell Price 14 to go with 19 hit outs and five tackles.

The reserves contest then concluded proceedings at the Showground and it was Claremont who made it a clean sweep defeating Swan Districts 15.6 (96) to 8.7 (55).

Ben Higgs kicked five goals for Claremont with Gerrick Weedon booting three and Ashley Fitzgerald two, and Ben Musitano two.

Haydn Busher had a monster performance for the Tigers with 45 possessions and nine marks with Jared Hardisty gathering 33 disposals, Rowen Powell 31, Morgan Davies 23, Harry Sinclair 20, Toby Plant 20 and Hugo Breakey 20.

Shannon Stack and Tyson Hodge kicked two goals each for Swan Districts with Ethan Maguire gathering 21 possessions, Josh Cipro 20, Ben Holman 20 (six tackles), Brandon Erceg 18, Callan Cranenburgh 18 and Warrick Wilson 18 (14 tackles).
