With the chance to play on the MCG all WA players are fit, focused and steeled with a new determination and direction after finishing third in 2015.

The WA team features a strong contingent of country girls including representatives from Kalgoorlie, Albany and Bunbury and we know they will do their State and their families proud.

From day one of the program the WA players have shown true belief in the pathway to the AFL. This has brought with it a maturity and desire to learn.

The team is an exciting mix of new and returning state representatives who have a willingness to listen and have worked hard to improve their skills and knowledge.

The coaches have been impressed with the calibre of players. As a group they are looking forward to playing in the ‘home of footy’ and at the highest level.

There is a new breed coming through who should provide plenty of skill and much to get excited about.

WA PLAYERS TO WATCH

Courtney Hodder

A young, quick explosive midfielder who was a surprise All-Australian last year. She always seems to have time to burn to execute any skills. With a touch rugby background watch those feet fly. She is a player of the future National Women’s League.

Beatrice Devlyn

Devlyn has a huge tank and has enjoyed spending time with the senior women in WA’s Talent Academy perfecting her skills. She is a fit, fast key position player. Her determination knows no bounds and her ability to lead by example on field and off make her a valuable player for WA.
