HFM on board for WAFL broadcast Wednesday, April 6, 2016 - 1:34 PM

The West Australian Football League has welcomed a new radio broadcast partner for the remainder of the 2016 McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season, with HFM 107.3 embarking on broadcasting as of Round 4 this weekend.

HFM football producer Jack Crawshaw said HFM was passionate about bringing events to its local community and welcomed WAFL to its airwaves in 2016.

"It's a great to be able to call the footy on HFM," Crawshaw said.

"It's shaping up as an exciting season and I'd like to thank all the supporters who have got on board to bring another WAFL match to the airwaves each week.

"This includes Telstra Business Centre's West Perth, Osborne Park and Belmont, who are the major partners of the coverage. HFM acknowledges their help and support to get this off the ground."

This week HFM begins with Peel Thunder hosting East Perth from Mandurah with coverage from 2pm.

Listeners can join the commentary team each week for three hours of WAFL action on 107.3FM or online at heritagefm.net.

The partnership sees HFM join ABC Radio, Sport FM 91.3fm and KIX Digital in broadcasting WAFL games on radio in 2016.
