Can’t make the National Coaching Conference in 2014? The WAFC is giving coaches the opportunity to attend the WA State Coaching Conference on February 8 and 9.
The conference will give coaches the opportunity to attend a range of seminars by industry leaders from the AFL, WAFL, WA State Academy and leading Sports Psychologists over two days at ECU Joondalup.
There will be something for everyone with Adrian Hickmott and Justin Longmuir (West Coast Eagles coaches) sharing their AFL experience, presenting practical sessions on Skill Development and Effective Training.
Former AFL premiership coach, Darren Harris (Leading Teams Australia) will address the importance of developing a team culture, while leading sports psychologist Dr. Steve Kiely will discuss roles and leadership styles of the modern day coach.
The 2014 State Coaching Conference is run in conjunction with the Level 2 coaching course and available to all Australian Football Coaches Association (AFCA) members, but is limited to 30 conference attendees so anyone interested needs to get in quick.
The conference includes two days of presentations, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days and a course book.
This is a great opportunity to listen to industry leaders, socialise with other coaches and pick up some new tips for the coming season. Get in quick, as places are limited.
