Simply Energy WAFL Colts Weekly Wrap Round 3 Monday, August 3, 2020 - 5:32 PM

In round 3 of the Simply Energy WAFL Colts competition, there were a host of great individual and team performances alike.

This round saw East Fremantle (8.10.58) defeat East Perth (7.5.47); Claremont (16.12.108) beat South Fremantle (2.5.17); West Perth (19.10.124) win against Peel (7.4.46); and Subiaco (17.8.110) secure victory over Swan Districts (6.9.45).

Perth was the club that had the bye this weekend.

EAST PERTH (7.5.47) vs EAST FREMANTLE (8.10.58)
East Fremantle recorded its first victory of the 2020 Simply Energy WAFL Colts competition, after defeating East Perth by 11 points at Leederville Oval.

East Fremantle’s Captain Keanu Haddow was inspirational for the Sharks with 28 possessions and 9 marks.

Ethan Paholski (25 possessions, 4 tackles, 4 inside 50s), Edward Curley (22 possessions, 1 goal), Joshua Browne (22 possessions, 1 goal), Brandon Walker (22 possessions, 1 goal), Jack Carroll (22 possessions, 4 tackles, 4 inside 50s) and Blake Hughes (20 possessions, 1 goal) were all prolific for the Sharks.

Lachlan McGrath (12 possessions, 2 goals), Finn Gorringe (15 possessions, 1 goal) and Bailey Hodge (15 possessions, 1 goal) all hit the scoreboard.

Jack Hindle (19 possessions, 3 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal) led the way for the Royals.

Joshua Hubbard (27 possessions, 7 tackles, 5 inside 50s), Luke Lombardi (24 possessions, 3 tackles), Jy Thompson (20 possessions), and Zac Dronow (20 possessions, 6 marks) competed hard all day for the Royals.

Up forward Aniello Pizzolante kicked 2 goals, while Nicholas Barton, Sokaa Soka, Jye Amiss, and Ethan Sherwood each kicked one goal.

SOUTH FREMANTLE (2.5.17) vs CLAREMONT (16.12.108)
Claremont continued its unbeaten start to the season with another convincing victory, this time a 91-point victory over South Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

2019 WA U18s State Academy member Cameron Anderson was the Tigers’ best with 21 possessions, 12 tackles, 8 inside 50s and 1 goal.

Jacob Blight (25 possessions, 4 marks), Logan Guelfi (17 possessions, 2 goals), Jack Avery (22 possessions, 9 marks), and Ben Ramshaw (17 possessions, 4 tackles, 4 inside 50s) were named Claremont’s best players.

For the Bulldogs, Jaxon Bellchambers tried hard all day with 26 possessions, 9 marks, 8 tackles, 4 inside 50s and 1 goal.

Solomon James (17 possessions, 14 hit-outs, 4 inside 50s, 3 marks), Adam Correia (22 possessions, 6 marks, 4 inside 50s), and Toby Dodds (19 possessions, 7 marks) competed solidly for the Bulldogs.

PEEL THUNDER (7.4.46) vs WEST PERTH (19.10.124)
West Perth remains undefeated in 2020 after a strong 78-point victory over Peel Thunder at David Grays Arena.

Corey Rundle led the way for the Falcons with 14 possessions, 6 marks and 7 goals.

Callum Johnson (32 possessions, 5 tackles, 4 marks, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal), Heath Chapman (27 possessions, 11 marks), Rohan Scurria (27 possessions, 7 marks), and Michael Mallard (15 possessions, 32 hit-outs) were key contributors.

Darcy Dixon (4 goals), Cooper Blackburn (2), Logan Foley (2), Lochlan Paton (1), Lachlan Rewell (1), Kallum Erikson (1) were the goalkickers for the Falcons.

Bodie Kitchingham (25 possessions, 5 marks, 5 tackles, 1 goal) contributed valiantly all day for the Thunder.

Jack Walsh (25 possessions, 7 tackles), Tyler Nesbitt (16 possessions), David Yaccob (16 possessions, 6 marks) and Riley Vidovich (10 possessions, 6 marks, 2 goals) competed strongly for the Thunder.

SWAN DISTRICTS (6.9 45) vs SUBIACO (17.8 110)
Subiaco secured its first victory of the 2020 Simply Energy WAFL Colts competition with a resounding 65-point victory over Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval.

Sandon Page (10 possessions, 5 goals) and Jaxon Bilchuris (12 possessions, 7 marks, 4 goals) were formidable up forward for the Lions.

Lachlan Vanirsen (24 possessions, 6 marks, 6 tackles), Jed Kemp (19 possessions, 8 tackles), Matthew Johnson (15 possessions, 4 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal), Ezekiel Bolton (15 possessions, 5 tackles, 1 goal), and Blake Morris (11 possessions, 3 marks) were all influential for the Lions.

Jesse McDonald, Jake South, Cameron Dean, Tyler Brockman, Nicholas Cleaver, and Lachlan McKay each kicked one goal for Subiaco.

For the Swans, Ayden Cartwright continued his excellent start to the season with 24 possessions, 8 marks and 1 goal.

Jamieson Ugle (16 possessions, 5 marks, 5 tackles, 1 goal), Ashley Brockbernd (19 possessions, 8 tackles, 4 inside 50s, 3 marks), and Joseph Salmon (12 possessions, 6 inside 50s, 4 tackles) were the most notable players for the Swans.
