Nomination for 2019 AFLMWA State Team Coaching PositionsMonday, March 18, 2019 - 4:29 PM

This year’s State Carnival is in Townsville commencing 29th September to 5th October and the AFLMWA Board is calling for nominations for state coaches for the male and female teams travelling to Townsville.
Numbers of teams travelling and the makeup of the teams are yet to be determined, however there is the opportunity to nominate for any of the following teams:

•    Female – Division 1
•    Female - Division 2
•    Male – Supers/Masters 35 to 45yo 
•    Male – Seniors 45 to 50yo 
•    Male – Super Seniors – 50 to 55yo 
•    Male -– 55 to 60yo 
•    Male - Legends – 60 plus

Nominations close COB Friday 5th April. Please email completed form (attach any other relevant information) to James Hunt (administrator@aflmasterswa.com.au)
The selection of coaches will be completed by a panel consisting of a WAFC representative, The Chairman (or delegate), a female representative, a non-travelling Board member and the Board Administrator. Notification of selections will be made in early May.

Minimum requirements:
•    Minimum Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
•    Sound football and coaching background
•    Demonstrated leadership and communications skills
•    Proven ability to develop and improve player skills
•    Commitment to drive AFL Masters WA culture
•    Planning and organisation skills
•    Working with Children’s Card
•    Previous experience highly desirable

Other relevant information:
•    No player/coach in same age group - Can be a player in alternative age group.
•    Successful candidate will receive $500 towards travelling expenses.

Selected Coaches will be used to promote the upcoming carnival and when arranged take training sessions leading up to the Carnival so a consistent approach of game skills is applied to all players, relevant to the age group of the touring players. Regular training sessions will commence in May, scheduled around normal metro fixtures.
