THE final round of the 2017 season saw Swan Districts' reserves beat East Fremantle to secure a finals spot with Subiaco winning to claim third position while in the colts, Swans upset the minor premier Sharks to ensure third spot and a double chance.

The Round 23 reserves results saw Claremont defeat West Perth 17.7 (109) to 5.8 (38) at Claremont Oval, Swan Districts beat East Fremantle 16.13 (109) to 10.10 (70) at Steel Blue Oval, Subiaco down East Perth 14.13 (97) to 10.8 (68) at Leederville Oval and South Fremantle prevail 18.13 (121) to 5.3 (33) against Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

South Fremantle was always guaranteed of top spot in the reserves finishing the season with a 16-4 record while Claremont was locked into second before Saturday as well and finish at 14-6.

Subiaco's win saw the Lions claim third position with an 11-9 record to be percentage ahead of Perth who had the final round bye.

Then Swan Districts (10-10) claimed that fifth position with the victory against East Fremantle (9-11) who ended up sixth.

Peel Thunder (7-13) was seventh, West Perth (6-14) eighth and East Perth (6-14) ninth.

This weekend will see Claremont and Subiaco do battle in the qualifying final at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday while Perth faces Swan Districts in the elimination final on Sunday at Steel Blue Oval.

The colts matches on Saturday then saw Claremont beat West Perth 18.16 (124) to 5.6 (36), Swan Districts beat East Fremantle 8.9 (57) to 7.10 (52), East Perth down Subiaco 15.6 (96) to 4.18 (42) and then Peel Thunder beat South Fremantle 11.7 (73) to 9.8 (62).

East Fremantle (14-6) still claimed the colts minor premiership despite the final round loss with Claremont (13-7) claiming second spot after its big last round win.

Swan Districts knocked off the Sharks to finish third with 12 wins, seven losses and a draw. Peel Thunder (11-1-8) ended up fourth and East Perth (11-9) fifth.

Subiaco (8-12), South Fremantle (8-12), West Perth (8-12) and Perth (4-16) all missed out on finals in the colts.

This weekend will see Peel Thunder play East Perth in the elimination final on Saturday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval while Claremont takes on Swan Districts in the qualifying final at Steel Blue Oval on Sunday.

STANDOUT RESERVES PERFORMERS
Claremont's reserves geared up for their finals campaign with a strong victory over West Perth at Claremont Oval by 71 points.

Kaiden Gilbert, Eddie Simpson and Jack Richardson all kicked three goals for Claremont with Matthew Davies, Dylan Holt and Corey Mitchell booting two.

Tom Ledger racked up a monstrous 44 possessions as well for the Tigers with Davies having it 38 times, Tom Shanahan 32, Max Bentley 25, Nick Winmar 20, John Williams 20 and ruckman Jeremy Goddard 15 to go with 43 hit outs.

Rudy Riddoch kicked two goals for West Perth from 15 possessions while Chris Keunen performed well in the ruck with 16 disposals, 24 hit outs and a goal.

Baylee James collected 21 possessions and laid 11 tackles for the Falcons while Max Alexander gathered 21 disposals, Josh Hatch 18, Conal Lynch 18, Mitch Peirce 17, Riley Hutchinson 15, Dylan Campbell 15 and Zac Guadagnin 15.

Swan Districts reserves were then playing a virtual elimination final against East Fremantle with both teams fighting over fifth position in Saturday's game. 

Swans prevailed by 39 points to end up in fifth position ahead of facing Perth in an elimination final at Steel Blue Oval on Sunday.

Levi Ridley was impressive for Swans with four goals from 18 possessions and five marks. Steven Wityk also kicked four goals for the black-and-whites and Tom Smirk two.

Ethan Maguire gathered 25 possessions for Swan Districts, Brayden Hackett 18, David McKay 18, Jacob Ness 18, Jackson Slater 17 and Jesse Manton 17. Troy Yukich had another 57 hit outs in the ruck.

Drew Blurton kicked three goals from three kicks for East Fremantle with Nathan Fahey also booting two goals.

Ben Harding amassed 35 possessions for the Sharks, Tom Omodei 26, Corey Holmes 22 and Oliver Parish 18.

Subiaco's reserves geared up for its finals campaign with a solid 29-point victory against East Perth at Leederville Oval.

Ryan Vermeersch kicked another four goals for Subiaco with Ray Daniels and Daniel Perkins kicking two apiece.

Daniel Leach collected 24 touches for the Lions, Brayden Ainsworth 23, McKenzie Lawrence 20 and ruckman Tim Sutherland 10 to go with five marks and 46 hit outs.

Kristian Caporn booted three goals for East Perth while Shayne Hille finished with 31 possessions, Ben Miller 22, Mitch Dobson 22 and Harry Blanch 18.

South Fremantle's ladder-leading reserves then won its 16 match of the season thrashing Peel Thunder by 88 points at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

Daniel Burke kicked five goals for South Fremantle and Mitch Dzelebdzic two.

Jake Florenca amassed 42 possessions for the Bulldogs, Jarrod Parry 30, Kyle Russell 30, Jesse Musika 25, Brandon Donaldson 24, Andrew Coutinho 24, Josh Collard 21, Chris Ah Siu 20, Seaton Thompson 19 and Caleb Datson 19.

South Fremantle's reserves have earned the rest in the first week of the finals before taking on the winner of the Claremont-Subiaco clash in the second semi-final.

Ashley Humphries, Zachary Beckman, Oliver Walton, Aaron Victor and Corey Morris were the goal scorers for Peel.

Michael Humble racked up 33 disposals, Michael Tassone 31, Jaidon Kearing 23 and Jake Dowding 21 to go with 10 marks and 21 hit outs.

REDiMED COLTS SHINING LIGHTS
It was a tough finish to the season for West Perth's colts against a strong Claremont team with the Tigers winning by 88 points at Claremont Oval.

Nicholas Allan kicked four goals for Claremont, Jacob Orr three, Damon Enosa three and Isaac Barton two.

Callan England racked up 33 possessions for the Tigers, Declan McNamara 24, Jake Patmore 24, Cooper Nitschke 22, Jordan Clark 18, Rylie Morgan 18 and Jack Blaauw 17.

Lachlan Johns kicked two of West Perth's five goals for the contest.

Connor West gathered 35 possessions for the Falcons, Oscar Allen 28 (10 tackles, seven marks, one goal), Nathan Murray 22, Bailey Chalmers 16, Thomas Medhat 16 and Thomas Boyes 15. Slade Hawkins also had 25 hit outs.

Swan Districts started the day in the colts with an impressive five-point victory over the top-of-the-table East Fremantle at Steel Blue Oval.

Sebastian Bright, Malaki Rodoreda and Joseph Hinder all kicked two goals for Swan Districts.

Lochie Huntley racked up 23 possessions for the black-and-whites, Gregory Ottaviano 23, Callum Garcia 19, Jack O'Sullivan 18, William Reidy 18, Thomas Whittle 17 and Rodoreda 17.

Tom Monaghan booted two goals for East Fremantle as did Dane Jenzen.

Zachary Jackson compiled 25 possessions for the Sharks, Liam Rajanayagam 22, Thomas Joyce 20 and Chris Scott 18.

East Perth's colts finished the home and away season with a strong 54-point victory against Subiaco at Leederville Oval.

Nathan Arbon kicked four goals for East Perth, Eric Bashemule two and Liam Martin two.

Thomas Baulch amassed 29 possessions for the Royals, Arbon 24, Matthew Young 24, Damon Greaves 21, Thomas Vellios 19, Mitchell Gupanis 18 and Kye Willcocks 17.

Ben Miller, Tristan Hobley, Liam Hickmott and Jake Halligan kicked Subiaco's goals.

Max Denis racked up 25 possessions for the Lions, Nathan French 23, Hobley 23, Liam Hickmott 22, Madoc Plane 20 and Wil Hickmott 19.

South Fremantle's colts saw its season come to a close on Saturday at Bendigo Bank Stadium with Peel Thunder winning by 11 points.

Michael Stevens booted four goals for Peel while Lachlan Mitchell compiled 29 disposals, Alex Cohen 21, Jake Howes 17 and Billy Chambers 33 hit outs.

Jarren Colpitts kicked three goals for the Bulldogs, Jonathon Frampton two and Luke Moore two.

Captain Bruno Faulkner collected 25 possessions, Matthew Ward 24, Jack Musika 22, Alex Cabassi 18 and Frampton 17.
