The DEPPRO WA State 18s were defeated by Victoria Metro in their second game of the NAB AFL National Championships at Domain Stadium today, Sunday June 18.

After a promising start that saw key forward Oscar Allen from West Perth kick the opening goal of the game, Vic Metro hit back to level the scores and then extended their lead at each break to claim a 38-point win 14.12 (96) to 9.4 (58).

Allen finished the game with three goals and was WA’s leading scorer. Tom Joyce (East Fremantle) collected 23 disposals for WA and was followed by Jake Patmore (Claremont) with 19 and Brayden Ainsworth (Subiaco), Callan England (Claremont) and Zareth Roe (Perth) with 17 each.

Jack Higgins starred for Vic Metro with two goals and 30 possessions.
